Tutorio is a learning app built around short practice sessions and a tutor workspace. Students practise on cards (quizzes, fill-the-gap, matching, ordering, drawing and more), earn hearts, coins and streaks, and get a Review at the end of each topic. Tutors build courses in minutes with the course wizard, teach them live on any screen, set assignments and let the app do the marking.
Three kinds of people#
- Students learn on the iPhone, iPad and Android apps or in the browser. Everything they do is scored on the server, so progress is the same on every device.
- Tutors use the workspace at
/tutorto build courses, run classes, teach live lessons and watch each student's progress. Tutors need a plan (Solo, Pro or Studio) - see Choose a tutor plan. - Parents and organisations follow along: parents get enrichment packs and progress; tutoring companies and schools run a shared workspace on the Studio plan.
The parts you'll meet first#
| Thing | What it is |
|---|---|
| Course | A subject broken into topics, subtopics and lessons. Built by a tutor or picked from the library. |
| Practice | A deck of cards for one lesson. Each card is a question or a short piece of teaching. |
| Hearts | Your lives. A wrong answer costs one; they refill over time, and coins can top them up. |
| Streak | Days in a row with at least one practice. Rio, the parrot, reminds you before it breaks. |
| Review | A short check at the end of a topic, built only from what you've been taught. |
| Class | A tutor's group of students, joined with a code or link. Classes have exam dates and a finish line. |
Open tutorio.app/learn and press any public course. You can practise as a guest; signing up later keeps your progress.
Common questions#
Is Tutorio free for students?
Yes. Students never pay. Tutors subscribe to a plan for the workspace; organisations buy seats.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone and iPad (App Store), Android (Google Play), and any modern browser. The web app can be installed as a PWA.
Is it only for UK exams?
The library leans towards UK school and 11+ content, but tutors build courses for anything: languages, music theory, driving theory, professional exams.
