Join a tutor's class with a code or link

Enter a class code, scan the QR, or tap the invite link - and what your tutor can see once you're in.

Tutors invite students with a join code, a QR code or a link (they all do the same thing). Joining puts the tutor's courses on your home screen and lets them follow your progress on those courses.

The join screen: type the code, scan the QR, or open the link your tutor sent.

Three ways in#

  1. Link - tap the link your tutor sent by email, text or WhatsApp. It opens the app (or the website) and asks you to confirm.
  2. Code - in the app, open Classes and press Join a class, then type the code.
  3. QR - point your camera at the code on the tutor's screen; it opens the same confirmation.

What your tutor sees#

  • Which lessons you've completed and your scores on them.
  • Your Review results and the answers you gave in live lessons.
  • Your streak and how long you spend practising.
  • They don't see your password, other tutors' courses, or anything outside their classes.
Joining is instant for the tutor too

When you join, your tutor gets a notification and a little 'joined!' moment on their dashboard, so there's no need to message them to say you're in.

Common questions#

The code says it's invalid.

Codes are case-insensitive, but check for mixed-up characters (0 and O, 1 and I). If it still fails, ask the tutor to resend the link - codes can be reset.

Can I leave a class?

Yes: Classes → the class → Leave. Your progress on those courses stays with you; the tutor just stops seeing it.

My tutor has a class cap.

Each plan allows a number of students per class. If a class is full, the tutor can upgrade or open a second class.
