Press the bookmark on any course in Explore to add it to Saved. Saved courses sit on your home screen with their progress ring; they aren't connected to a tutor, so no one else sees your progress on them.
Inside a session, the bookmark on a card keeps it in Saved → Cards so you can revisit a tricky explanation later.
