How Tutorio uses AI

What's generated, what's checked, which providers we use and what they see.

AI writes first drafts of lessons and questions from a tutor's material, picks dictionary senses, summarises resources and writes reports. It never marks a student's answer in a way the tutor can't see, and it never talks to students directly.

Accuracy#

  • Generated lessons go through an audit pass that checks facts against the source and flags anything doubtful for the tutor.
  • Tutors can edit or regenerate anything; the tutor is always the author of record.
  • Students can flag any card. Flags on generated content go to the tutor and to us.

Providers and privacy#

We use leading model providers under enterprise terms that prohibit training on our data. Prompts contain course material and, where a tutor opts in, a learner profile summary - never a student's name or email. The current model list is on the Acknowledgements page and the policy in AI transparency.
